Things worth noticing: vinyl dust, photos, bike rides, shavasana, bhajans, tea.
“Arise! Awake! Approach the great and learn.
For the path is like the sharp edge of a razor—
difficult to tread and hard to cross, say the wise.”

“The truth of Zen, just a little bit of it, is what turns one's humdrum life, a life of monotonous, uninspiring commonplaceness, into one of art, full of genuine inner creativity.”
― D.T. Suzuki

For years the forest was my playground and my dojo.
Running, walking, breathing, nunchaku, works with the elements.
A grab forest — rare, clean, ancient.
Two hidden lakes, always still.
In the chaos of the 90s, that forest was my shelter.
We skied there, we ran there — Spartak, Дьячук, Petrik, and me.
Trees instead of walls.
Air instead of teachers.
Quiet instead of noise.

We worked with information. We studied history, the history of Ukraine, world history, astronomy, mythology, things larger than ourselves.I filled thick notebooks (тетрaди) with facts, dates, diagrams, ideas.
Reading became training.
Grammar lessons, the first English textbooks, accuracy, curiosity — a different kind of discipline. It was mind practice: collecting knowledge, building attention, sharpening memory, opening the world.

Thank you for spending time here.
